As part of the Kieler Woche 2021, SubCtech explained to schoolchildren of different age groups at the camp 24/7 how important marine data are for climate research. In this context, a new research sailboat was presented and named Ocean8Aid. The greetings and short presentations were given by Prime Minister Daniel Günther as well as Boris Herrmann (Team Malizia) and Stefan Marx (CEO SubCtech). The event took place on land and at sea:
The OceanPack™ CUBE system was presented on land, where the main topic “Health of the Oceans” was discussed with the students.
The Ocean8Aid boat with the OceanPack™ RACE system on board then went out to sea to record live monitorng data on the Kiel inner fjord.
