Information on Battery Disposal in Accordance with the German Battery Act (BattG)

In accordance with Section 18 of the German Battery Act (BattG), we hereby provide the following mandatory information regarding the handling and disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries:

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. End users are legally required to return used batteries for proper disposal. You may return spent batteries that we currently supply or have previously supplied free of charge to our shipping warehouse in Germany, or to our authorised international sales partner (Sales Partner – SubCtech – Ocean Power & Monitoring ). Proper disposal will be carried out at no cost to you.

Batteries may contain hazardous substances which, if disposed of improperly, can pose risks to the environment and human health. At the same time, they contain valuable raw materials that can be recovered through recycling.

The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. Where applicable, the symbol may be accompanied by chemical abbreviations indicating the specific hazardous substances contained in the battery, such as (Pb) for lead, (Cd) for cadmium or (Hg) for mercury. Please note that batteries containing these substances are not part of our product portfolio.

The term “battery” refers to both primary batteries (non-rechargeable) and secondary batteries or accumulators (rechargeable).

We kindly ask you to observe the above information and contribute to the responsible handling of resources.
