Vendeé Globe has started and two OceanPack RACE systems by SubCtech are on board.

Boris Herrmann (Seaexplorer – Yacht Club De Monaco) has the RACE system on board & Fabrice Amédéo (IMOCA Newrest – Art & Fenêtres) not only has the RACE system but also a MicroPlastic sampler for recording scientific data.
The team added the microplastic sampler to collect microplastics from the surface of the oceans. In this way, they will be able to study little explored areas of the worlds oceans.
This data is used to enrich the dataset to establish scenarios on global warming and ocean pollution.
